Le 13 mars 1992, PRASAD Project a déposé aux États-Unis ses statuts d’organisation à but non lucratif à vocation mondiale. Aujourd’hui, PRASAD Project est une organisation non-gouvernementale (ONG) dotée du statut consultatif spécial auprès du conseil économique et social des Nations Unies.
